I have been a caregiver for 15 years now and my most recent client whom I lived with for 7 years was a Quadrapaligic male on Dialysis has passed away and his family is selling me the moble home which is fully handicaped adapted, ramp, roll-in shower, hoyer lift, open floorplan, voice program on computer, adaptive phones. service dog, even a lift in my van. I simply cannot see letting this all go to waste so I'm looking for a new client in need of my help and a one on one private home to live in complete with ready to work caregivers. Must be on medical. and I would prefer someone of at least Quad disability statis. Anyone out there know of such a person in need of my help, or can anyone send me in the right direction for finding this type of person. I've tried all the local resources without avail. I live in Redding CA For the third answer. I said someone with Quad statis. This to me means that I have been in this business for over 15 years and have worked only with the terminal patients. I have been known to take on the "difficult" patient, i.e. newly disabled, bitter, sucidial, the ones who can not find somewhere to live because the care homes are not equipt to have them or they see them as to much work. This is way I would like to have a new disability or one of Quad statis, because I feel their the one's who need my help the most,. Now do you understand? I am 59 years old and at this point well connected into the resource field. I also have already been the local agencies gaunlet such as Independant Living Services, Dept of Health Services, Golden Umbrella, and the list goes on, all to no avail.
